By introducing revolutionary design changes in the flat-plate boat hoist, we can claim to have created the only true 8500lb straight line flat plate boat hoist. The BH85 is the only flat-plate boat hoist available with a solid bronze 96 tooth worm gear. The worm gear is matched with a hardened, polished steel worm seated in an enclosed aluminum housing that extends behind the gear to reduce torque. We have effectively removed ALL steel on steel moving parts and introduced a bronze back-plate bearing. Bronze is a true bearing surface and should be used in any bearing application. By eliminating the inferior steel bearing, We have effectively eliminated a large percentage of friction.

Advantages of Our Hoists Over Other Flat Plate boat Hoists
NO STEEL-ON-STEEL moving parts: Our hoists are the only lifts that eliminate all steel on steel moving parts by using bronze bearings. Bronze on steel allows the hoist to lift more, run smoother, and last longer.
All aluminum worm housing: We enclose the worm in an aluminum housing, completely encapsulating the worm gear. This helps stiffen the back plate and holds the grease on the worm, requiring far less maintenance than most competitors
Bronze oil light back plate bearing: We have eliminated the steel back plate bearing and replaced it with a bronze bearing. Bronze is a true bearing surface; steel is not. The fact that our competitors use steel bearings should say it all.
Cast Aluminum Pulleys, NOT METEAL: Cast aluminum pulleys provide a truer yield, more strength, and ensures the cogged belt will not slip.
